NANOTEXNOLOGY16 PROGRAM OVERVIEW

ISSON16 Special Poster Session

All ISSON participants can present their current research work (background and research activity) in a Special ISSON Poster Session to the rest of the group, the ISSON Committee and Lecturers at the Welcome Ceremony of ISSON Schools. In case you will also attend the NN16 and/or ISFOE16 Conference, your poster can also be presented there!

At the end of ISSON16 Schools the best poster will be awarded!

ISSON posters will be presented during the first two days of the School (2-3 July). If a poster will also be presented at the NN16 and/or ISFOE16, you will be informed about the corresponding poster session and panel spot.

Abstract submission for the ISFOE16 - NN16 - ISSON16 is now closed. Thank you all for your participation!

Information on Poster Presentations

The Poster Sessions will take place in the exhibition area.
Standard poster panels will be available - Posters should be in a PORTRAIT format, and the appropriate dimensions should be 84cm x 119cm (A0 size).

ISSON16 - School on Graphene

school3

Graphene is an exciting 2D nanomaterial that will revolutionize our life because of its unique combination of superb properties, such as high electrical conductivity, super strength and stiffness, ultra-low thickness and superb optical transparency, and impermeability to gases.
It will open a way for its exploitation in a wide spectrum of applications ranging from optics, electronics, sensors, circuits, and biodevices, to name but a few.

The aim of the International Summer ISSON16 School on Graphene is to introduce the attendees to the fascinating world of Graphene with lectures from world-class scientists & experts in the following topics:

  • Graphene growth methods, synthesis, and integration
  • Graphene Chemistry (synthesis, chemical modification, reactivity)
  • Graphene transfer on different substrates
  • Graphene doping and impurities
  • Characterization of optical, electrical, structural properties
  • Large area synthesis and transfer
  • Computational and theoretical approaches
  • Applications of graphene (including transparent electrodes, sensors, transistors, OLEDs, OPVs, etc.)
