Smartonics was a Large Scale Integrating R&D Project funded by the European Union's Seventh Framework Programme (NMP.2012.1.4-1 Pilot lines for precision synthesis of nanomaterials).

The target of the Smartonics project was the development of Pilot lines that will combine smart technologies with smart nanomaterials for the precision synthesis of Organic Electronic (OE) devices. Smartonics has officially launched in 1st January 2013 and it run for 4 years (until December 31, 2016).

Smart Nanomaterials for OEs

(polymer & small molecule films, plasmonic NPs and super-barriers) by Process and Computational Modeling Optimization

Smart Technologies

for R2R Printing and OVPD machines combined with precision sensing, Laser tools and Inkjet Printing

Development of 3 unique Pilot Lines

(R2R, S2S, OVPD) for precision Synthesis of OE Devices and Evaluation for Industrial applications (e.g. Automotive)
